UNDENIABLE SKILL: Lock down defense
STRENGTHS: Eason is a force to be reckoned with on the defensive end of the floor. He illustrates his disruptive capabilities on defense by dismantling plays using his length and athleticism to steal passes in the passing lanes and blocking shots out of the air. Eason has the athleticism and coordination to push the ball in transition and score on the break. Eason is also a very stout on ball man to man defender often times forcing the ball handler into difficult or forced shots or prying away the ball with his active hands. Eason continues to grow and develop on the offensive end. He does a good job of attacking closeouts and putting the ball on the floor. Shows a good hand when driving often using live dribble counter moves at full speed. Eason finishes with force. He plays hard. Strong rebounder. He rebounds well inside and outside of his area. He’s decent in pick and pop situations. Eason can be a valuable 2 way player at the next level.
CONCERNS: Eason is still very raw. Footwork is still a work in progress. Doesn’t drive left nearly as well as driving to his dominant right hand. Oftentimes, Eason is too eager to attack and utilize his athleticism as the ball is being thrown to him that he shuffles his feet on the catch. Jumpshot and handles are still being polished.
