STRENGTHS: Holmgren is a big, versatile weapon. He possesses a great feel for the game coupled with a 7’0″ frame to provide great utility on the basketball court. Holmgren alters a substantial number of shots and displays great rim protecting abilities. Holmgren excels as a trail shooter on the break. He’s able to shoot over players from the mid post with his back to the basket or facing up. Holmgren can do a little bit of everything on the basketball court.
CONCERNS: Holmgren must continue to add weight and strength to his frame to deal with NBA bigs under the rim. Can Holmgren’s length negate subpar foot speed staying with quicker, shiftier players at the pro level in space? Holmgren likely won’t add much utility as a screener due to his sleight frame.
