UNDENIABLE SKILL: Ball handling
STRENGTHS: Montero routinely gets to whatever spot he wants on the floor with his excellent dribbling and ball handling capabilities. He’s super shifty in tight spaces. Montero show great nuance and craft squeaking by defenders in one on one and in pick and roll situations. Montero can absolutely thread the needle with pin point passes in the half court. He’s a creative playmaker and facilitator.
CONCERNS: Shooting has been and will be a cause for concern for Montero going forward. Fortunately for Montero, he isn’t solely dependent on attacking close outs to still beat defenders to the basket. However, if Motero fails to improve as a shooter that could cap his ceiling as a prospect.
