THE RUN

Cooper Flagg To Duke

Cooper Flagg has decided to play at Duke for what seems like one season. I don’t know that this caught anybody off guard seeing that he is one of the best players in the country and Duke tends to get top players in the country but the circumstances surrounding his career are very unique. After reclassing up, flag still remain one of the best players in the country. We have to run sports have him ranked two in the country in the class of 2024. I think it’sis a good player for a number of reasons, including his size, athleticism, skill level, and versatility.

  1. Athleticism: Flagg is an elite athlete with incredible speed, quickness, and jumping ability. This allows him to blow past defenders on the perimeter, get to the rim at will, and block shots on the defensive end.
  2. Skill level: Flagg’s skills have grown over time. He has developed a smooth shooting stroke from beyond the arc, can create his own shot off the dribble, and is a good passer. Defensively he’s a juggernaut. At the high school level he clocks shots and defends well one on one.
  3. Motor: Every time I’ve seen him play, he’s played harder and faster than everyone he played against. He seem to have a never ending energy on the basketball court.

In addition to his physical and athletic gifts, Flagg is also a very competitive and intelligent player. He has a high basketball IQ and is always looking to improve his game. He is also a good leader and teammate.

Overall, Cooper Flagg is a very good player with the potential to be a star at the next level. He is a complete player with no real weaknesses. He is also very young and has a lot of upside.

Here are some specific examples of Flagg’s skills and abilities:

  • At the NBPA Top 100 Camp in Orlando, Florida, in late June 2023, Flagg was named the camp’s MVP. He averaged 22.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game.
  • At the Nike EYBL Peach Jam in July 2023, Flagg led his team to the championship. He averaged 24.3 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game.
  • Flagg is ranked as the #1 player in the ESPN 60 for 2025. He is also ranked as the #1 player in his class by 247Sports and Rivals.
