Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid is done for the season due to injury, leaving a massive hole in the team’s lineup, again. The reigning MVP has been dealing with a lingering knee issue, which ultimately required surgery.
His absence is a major blow to the Sixers, who will have to find ways to stay competitive without their best player. Tyrese Maxey and Paul George will need to step up, while the team’s defense will have to adjust without its anchor in the paint.
The season has been all but lost. The 76’ers don’t look good as a group and lack toughness. The club does not have a move that it can make to improve the roster as the trade deadline has passed. They will have to get ready for next season.
