PLAYER COMPARISON: Channing Frye, Michael Porter Jr.
UNDENIABLE SKILL: Shooting
STRENGTHS: Baldwin best asset as a basketball player comes from his ability to stretch defenses with his shooting ability. He has one of the premier jumpshots in college basketball. Baldwin can provide added value as an isolation scorer and does a good job shooting on the move. He’s more than a stationary catch and shoot player.
CONCERNS: Below functional athleticism. Great concerns surrounding his ability to defend on the perimeter. Hasn’t shot the ball particularly well thusfar this season as his reputation as a great shooter would suggest. Baldwin doesn’t provide significant impact outside of shooting/scoring the basketball. There are serious concerns about Baldwins ability to move well laterally and guard in space. Doesn’t seem to have the mental makeup to want to be the best defender he could be.
